MDFRA offers several referee courses each year between January and April. Each course includes:
An online training component A practical session held in person with an MDFRA instructor
All practical sessions take place at Belgenny Oval, Camden.
The Level 4 Course is designed for anyone aged 13 and above and qualifies you to referee junior and senior football matches.

If you’re not quite ready for full-field matches but want to begin your refereeing journey, the SSG Course is a great starting point! This course is recommended for those aged 12 and above and qualifies you to referee SSG matches in the Macarthur District.
Course Structure: 3–4 hour theory & practical session Participants must be at least 12 years old before refereeing
